Polyethylene film (PE) is frequently used for the protection and storage of valuable objects. The foil can be described as plastic webs that protect against rising damp.

PE film is available in low density (LDPE) and high density (HDPE). This variant has a low density. In other words, the film has a shorter lifespan.

PE foil is cheaper than PET or PP foil and less transparent. The PE film is recyclable and is often used to cover objects or racks against dust or possible water leaks. In addition, PE film is often used as a watertight package for boxes intended for shipping.

LDPE is less suitable for the long-term storage of objects. PET or PP is worth considering for long-term storage of valuable objects with foil.
